Katie graduated from Park Tudor High School where she excelled as a student athlete. She later played Collegiate tennis at Wake Forest University and received her bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology. Katie was inducted into the Indiana High School Tennis Hall of Fame, Class of 2022.
At Park Tudor, Katie compiled a record of 6 Indiana State Titles (4 Singles & two team titles).
During her time at Wake Forest, her team made it to the NCAA Elite 8 and she was ranked in the top 25 singles and doubles.
After graduating from college, Katie began her career teaching tennis in DC, Philadelphia, and Ohio. Katie has a passion for our members and loves being on the court with players of all ages and skill levels.
Katie and her husband, Brian, a former professional soccer player in the MLS, moved to Carmel in 2017 to be closer to family. They have three children: Aiden, Grace, and Noah.

Aaron attended Taylor University where he majored in Elementary Education. After graduating, Aaron worked as a teaching professional for six years before he moved to Zionsville and started working at PATC.
Aaron lived in Chicagoland for nearly six years where he worked as a tennis teaching professional for the Wheaton Sports Center.
Aaron is always an advocate for learning as he enjoys learning more about the game and sharing his lifelong passion for tennis every day. Aaron hopes to continue pro Kurt Ehrhardt’s model of “learning is winning!” each day at PATC.
Off the court, Aaron loves spending time with his wife Allie and daughters Lucy & Isabel. He enjoys being active, playing golf, hiking and exploring, His family plans to visit all the state parks in Indiana and are working on exploring all the national parks in the US. He enjoys cheering on the Hoosiers, Pacers, Colts and Chicago Cubs.

Stephanie was the first State Champion from Heritage Hills High School and was inducted into the Indiana High School Hall of Fame in 2018. She attended the University of Florida where her team won 2 NCAA Championships, was a two time All American and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Sciences with an emphasis in sports management.
Stephanie started playing tennis at the age of 2 and she competed in her first tournament at the age of 6. After high school and college, she played professionally for three years before starting her coaching career.
As a coach, Stephanie has developed several players into state and national champions. She is proud of her many players who have received college scholarships for tennis.
Stephanie found her love and passion for coaching through her mom, Anna Hazlett, and her many other amazing coaches throughout high school and college.

Jeff attended Walsh University where he played tennis and football. He was inducted into the Walsh University Hall of Fame in 2017 for both collegiate sports.
Before arriving in Indianapolis, he taught on Hilton Head Island, SC, at the Sea Pines and Port Royal Racquet Clubs. Jeff’s accolades include working with former world No. 1 Stan Smith and the legendary coach Dennis Van Der Meer.
Jeff and his wife, Lani, have a son, Jack, who is following in his dad’s athletic footsteps. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, playing golf, and eating good food!
Fun fact about Jeff – he had a workout with the Tennessee Titans as a placekicker after college!

Rad went to University of Arizona and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. After graduating Rad returned to Illinois where he taught tennis for 22 years before joining PATC in 2022.
Rad has coached people of all age levels, ranging from 5 year old beginners to teenage and adult State Champions.
Rad has two witty and wonderful kids. His daughter is a CPA living in Colorado and his son is finishing up his finance degree at the University of lowa.
Fun Fact – In Rad’s free time he enjoys playing golf, biking, hiking, and finding new restaurants in Indiana. He also enjoys exploring state parks and traveling to Europe.

Nelson serves many important roles at PATC. He is a popular teacher on the court and works with all ages and levels. In addition, he runs an adult cardio tennis class each week and coaches the CIWITL Q Team. Off the court, Nelson serves as the PATC Tournament Director, runs the Pro Shop, and is our racquet stringer.
Nelson has been a tennis pro in Central Indiana for over 20 years. He started playing tennis in his teen years and played Varsity tennis at Arsenal Technical High School where he became a coach after graduating.
Nelson moved to Zionsville Community Schools where he has been for over 15 years. He is currently the assistant coach for the ZCHS boys tennis team. He is one of the founding coaches at PATC.
Fun Fact – Nelson enjoys spending time with his wife Rachel, and kids, Lucy and Tim. They love technology and he has built a PC for everyone in his family!
Morgan played 4 years of tennis at Brownsburg High School. After graduating in 2010 he served in the US Navy for 5 years as a Hospital Corpsman. Upon completion of his service, he attended and graduated from IUPUI with a degree in Biology in 2021. In 2016, he began coaching tennis at Brownsburg High School where he remains an Assistant Coach today for the Boys’ and Girls’ teams. Morgan previously worked at PATC from 2019-2021, and is returning after serving as the Head Tennis and Pickleball Pro at West Indy Racquet Club from 2021-2024.

Bryan won two singles State Championships for Center Grove High School. He was inducted into the Indiana High School Tennis Hall of Fame in 2013. After high school, he attended Purdue where he was All Big Ten his first years. He then transferred to Ball State where he was voted MAC Player of the Year.
Bryan is the Director of High Performance Tennis at PATC and has been playing and coaching tennis for over 40 years. He started playing at the age of 6.
Bryan has coached players at every level including State, Regional, National, and Professional. He has worked with Rajeev Ram Since the age of 14 and was voted USOC developmental coach of the year for tennis in 2007.
Bryan started Smith Tennis with Jeff, his dad, in 2001. His son, Sajin, was a State Singles runner-up and has continued the family legacy and Ball State. Fun fact – 5 members of Bryan’s family have played tennis for Ball State.

Tyler attended Carmel High School and played four consecutive years on the No. 1 ranked team. After high school and college, he continued to play tennis and started his coaching career. Tyler loves working with any age and skill level!
Tyler is the head coach of the Zionsville West Middle School Boys Tennis Team. He has also coached at the high school level as the Assistant Coach of the Zionsville Girls Tennis Team.
Tyler and his fiance, Keli, welcomed their baby girl, Iris, in September 2022.
Fun Fact – Tyler is the son of former ATP pro, Todd Witsken, who was a three-time All American at the University of Southern California with a career high ATP ranking of No. 4 in doubles.

Alex attended Marian University where he played varsity tennis and earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Alex currently serves as the Director of Junior Development at PATC. In addition, he is the Varsity Head Coach of the Zionsville Community High School Girls Tennis team.
His grandfather, also a tennis coach, introduced Alex to the sport as a baby when he placed him in his tennis basket while teaching.

Originally from Brownsburg, Kurt returned to the Indianapolis tennis scene in 2008 after 28 years of teaching tennis abroad. Kurt served as the director of men’s tennis at five seasons from 2008-2016, as well as working in junior development at five seasons and Washington township. Kurt is one of the founding pros at PATC.
Kurt speaks fluent french, German and Spanish. He was been affiliated with the USPTA, PTR, and German teaching pro organizations.
Kurt was the Head Pro Vic Braden’s tennis camps in West Germany. he was the technical editor for German Tennis Magazine and also produced, edited, and directed a teaching film, “Turbo Tennis”.
Kurt’s motto of “Learning is Winning” is in evidence every day at PATC. He loves discussing new developments in the game and bringing the latest in tennis research to the other pros and his students. He is currently using video analysis to compare and contrast the stroke production of the top ATP players.

Chad Stanley is a graduate of Anderson University where he played tennis. He has more than 25 years of experience training and teaching athletes of all ability levels in many different sports. His training helps kids improve mentally & physically while learning drive & discipline. When he’s not training his favorite thing is spending time with his young son.
Chad trained under Dean Brittenham, who was considered the leading authority of strength and conditioning in the nation.
Chad has trained over 750 Division 1 athletes & 29 All Americans, including Katie Carroll and Bryan Smith.

Alyssa is a graduate of Warsaw Community High School in Warsaw, IN and is a 2024 graduate of Ferris State University where she studied Professional Tennis Management. Alyssa has completed several internships, including ones at Eastlake Fitness Center in Warsaw, Indiana; Sabr Tennis in Denver, Colorado; and The Valley Club in Hailey, Idaho. Additionally, she worked at the Ferris State Racquet and Fitness Center, and recently taught tennis at various locations in Las Vegas. Alyssa joined PATC in August of 2024!
